Steinel High Frequency Sensors The high frequency motion detector works on the basis of cutting-edge HF sensor technology. It emits a 5.8 GHz signal and responds to changes in the echo pattern caused by even smallest movement of persons or objects (e.g. at a distance of 3 m). They respond more or less instantly to any movement in the detection zone, regardless of temperature and walking direction.
This makes it the ideal choice for use in stairwells or other indoor spaces. Bristling with electronics, it is designed for professional use. It has a switching capacity of 2000 watts. Sensors connected in parallel are identified automatically. At a reach of up to 8 m, it has a 360° detection zone with an aperture angle of no less than 140°. This makes it possible to watch over large indoor spaces reliably and without the need for major installation work.
Steinel Passive Infra Red (PIR) Sensors These newly developed sensIQ infrared motion detector come with a whole host of advantages for consumers and professional electricians. The main highlight: the detection reach settings can be selected easily, precisely and quickly on the unit itself. Painstakingly striding out distances, shrouding the lens or frequently having to press down the sensor head to adjust reach are now a thing of the past.
Let us welcome the first sensor for all coverage angles and requirements from 200° to 300° with unique sensIQ technology. In possession of the internationally coveted 2006 IF Design Award, sensIQ is proof of just how well functionality and design can harmonise together.
Steinel Luxmaster Sensors Artificial lighting in the modern work environment strains the eye with different light sources of varying intensity. The LuxMaster lighting control system from STEINEL brings relief to today's stressed eyes. Because it regulates the level of light emitted from connected lamps and light fixtures according to the amount of light that is actually required, providing a constant level of pleasant lighting. No matter whether it's dark outside or the sun is shining through the window.
With LuxMaster, light is only turned "ON" when it is really needed. This means: LuxMaster switches "ON" light sources when people are in the room and automatically turns them "off" again when they leave. LuxMaster provides planners with intelligent yet simple solutions in lighting planning. In terms of modern building management, LuxMaster affords contemporary convenience and cost-cutting efficiency.
LuxMaster BLS demonstrates its energysaving potential particularly well in rooms that are not in constant use. It also features a dimmer function that automatically increases or reduces the level of room lighting in line with ambient brightness.
Steinel (UK) Limited were the inventors of the PIR in 1987 and have sold over 21,000,000 sensor products. They design, manufacture, supply and support a comprehensive range of sensor based technologies and motion detectors can be used for applications other than just lighting.
